Rotterdam A to Z

T - Travel

This time of the year is just perfect time to travel. Nice weather, free from school (for students) and of course refreshing yourself after months of hard working is a very good reason, isn’t it?

Within the Netherlands you can easily find tourist information at VVV office in each city. In Rotterdam VVV locates at Beursplein 37 (opposite to The city Hall). They provide information about attractions, events, festivals, accommodation and even transport in the city. Honestly, if you expect some natural landscapes then Holland is not a good choice. It’s flat and more or less the same everywhere. But you will get amazed of a rich and beautiful culture. Such a small country The Netherlands possesses an impressive number of artworks from Rembrandt, Van Gogh and more. As an open country with the need of communicating and connecting to the world, this country is where so many different cultures in the world meet.

If you want to take a trip around Europe, it’s just about how much time do you have? Since European Union was set up and issued a lot priorities for member countries, travelling becomes the easiest thing that you can think of. No more visa, no more different currency, nowadays travelling in Europe is like travelling in a big country.

Package service? There are many travel agencies that you can choose, some good ones are D-reizen, Thomas Cook, TUI, De Jong...To find out their websites, go to the link http://www.yoruit.nl/reisbu.htm

Backpacking? A lot cheaper, more freedom and of course more exciting. You can find cheap transport like bus, train and even flight.

Eurolines bus offers Promotion return ticket with about 17% discount. They travel every day and 3 times a day which suggests you some choices. To book online or more information go to http://www.eurolines.nl/

To travel by train, it’s of course more convenient and time saving but also cost you a bit more than by bus. NS is promoting travelling by Thalys with Last Minute ticket (50% discount) and some more different promotion services. Check out their website at www.ns.nl

If you have some budget for travel then why not going with air planes? Nowadays flight sometimes is cheaper in some way compared to train??? Sounds ridiculous but yes it’s true. Surf to some website you will find out flight ticket fee is so cheap (Rdam – London 5,99 euro)
