Clubs – plenty of clubs for everybody to choose from for those of you interested in the nightlife (or more correctly, weekend nightlife – during the week, unless its top weather, there isn’t much life at night).
So lets check out the options: to name but a few: Ofcorsro, NOW &WOW, Thalia lounge, Nighttown and eh, that’s it! (Didn’t I just say there are plenty options to choose from?) (There are more but probably not worth mentioning really).

NOW &WOW: www.now-wow.com  Amazing complex, located at Masshaven metro station. Built in a huge silo near the pier. Im pretty sure its one of the biggest in the area, its gigantic, can hold up to 5000 clubbers I think.: Very popular place, sometimes too popular (as in pop culture) for my taste. kitsch culture at its best. Check out their website for party updates. Average age: I would say around 22.  the best party they offer is held every last Saturday of the month: Flirt.

Off_Corso : www.off-corso.nl not as large as the NOW &WOW but does size matter? Perfect space for clubbers just the right combination between high ceilings and great sound. I've been to some really nice parties, and saw many good DJ's perform there. Every month a different artist is given a space in the club to present his/her work which really adds to the urban atmosphere.
 Just across the street from Off_Corso we have the:

Thalia Lounge: www.thaliarotterdam.nl . supposedly the "high-class" club. a lounge atmosphere, with a moderate dance floor. (around 400 clubbers i would say) one good thing about the place is that you can find pretty good cocktails (its amazing how hard is it to get cocktails in Rotterdam) a bad thing is the dress code and other ridiculous  rules. Don’t come there with sportswear of any kind or you wont get in (not even sneakers!) and apparently the Thalia is not responsible for you or your belongings while you’re there. ...interesting.... because I think according to the law that rule isn’t really legal but whatever..

Another place worth mentioning is Nighttown: www.nighttown.nl. The city center venue place. Medium-sized concert location, with multiple halls for different kind of performances. fun and cozy place. I’ve seen a few big names there like 'Prince' and "eels".
During the weekend you have your hiphop night, and the house/DJ night. You have to be there at least once, especially if you’re too lazy to go Ahoy.
