Sunday July 7th is the day to enjoy good music from Rotterdams finest! During North Sea Round Town, the Cape Verdean Portuguese singer Poliana Vieira has her own showcase. With a special guest all the way from Portugal: Vilma Vieira!

This will not be the first time that the sisters Vieira share the stage together. Poliana started the Cape Verdean act 'Simplemente Vieira' (Just Vieira) with her sister Vilma Vieira. With this project they performed in Lisbon, Cape Verde and in Rotterdam. Expect a fusion of Jazz, Pop, Soul and Cape Verdean influences.

Poliana is currently working hard on her career. As one of the lead vocalists of Re:Freshed Orchestra, she performed at: Giel Beelen, Eurosonic Noorderslag, De Zwarte Lijst and Radio6 for example. In July she will perform on the North Sea Jazz Festival with the Orchestra.

She is also the Music Ambassador of Rotterdam 2013 and will represent the city musically this year. At the moment Poliana is busy with her album, which will appear this fall.
